LEGIT!

Unofficial Announcement

Well… we are about ready to launch something that we have been working on for quite some time.  Although, because we are running behind on the official launch, we have decided to give people a preliminary heads up to make plans and get in early!  (Mostly, we are as giddy as freshman school girls at the varsity football game, and can’t wait any longer).  We have developed a branch of Shade Tree hopelessly devoted to you and your film education. Get Skooled is her name and edu-ma-cation is her game. To launch this new venture we are putting together a workshop here in L.A. on Sept 21st and 22nd.

There you go we have unofficially announced it, and you are unofficially invited to join us!

Only 12 4 more seats available, gett’em while they’re hot!

Are You Sweating Or Crying?

Steve and Sara are simple really, when they are not rock climbing, riding motorcycles, playing with their cats or living life, they like to get married, and that is exactly what they did this past weekend.  Steve and Sara A.K.A “Team SY”, invited us to come out to Illinois to share with them their momentous day.  We can’t even begin to tell you how amazing it was to get to know these two.  They are loving, kind, considerate, fun and most of all, real down to earth awesome peeps.  From the moment Steve contacted us and told us a little bit about them, we felt a sincere connection.  The love between these two is undeniable.  So find a chair, sit down, and let us introduce you to our good friends Steve and Sara.

P.S. Steve, you should probably practice your hoola-hoop a little bit more!

YAY!

Is that J Crew?

Two months ago we sat down with an incredibly talented photographer and his fiance, to discuss J Crew, iPad’s, an old roadster Porsche and the day that would change their lives forever. One word we can use to describe the hot summer day in Groton CT is, awe-inspiring! Brian and Helen were attentive to every little detail that makes a day like this unforgettable!  It was a pleasure to be a part of this long awaited occasion.  Here is a short trailer to give you a sneak preview of whats up and coming!

…Brian, if you weren’t so talented in photography we would suggest you consider a career in fashion design!

It is our pleasure to present to you… Brian and Helen Khang

aww this is so so sweet. congrats brian and helen!

[...] their wedding was at a private mansion in connecticut which overlooks the long island sound. it was a beautiful, emotional, fun, detail filled, fabulousness day…and we are so honored and blessed to have shared in this very special moment with them! and yes, the ever fashionable “mr bow-tie” brian khang did not disappoint with the fashion for the guys…rented tuxes are a filthy word to him. hence, their aptly named “is that jcrew?” video snippet from shade tree films. 7 Steps

Robert and Rosalind… WOW, where do we start?  Thursday evening we hopped on a plane and headed up to the land of Toronto Canada on a red eye flight.  We landed Friday morning, and immediately drove downtown to meet the couple for the first time.  As we arrived, the door swung open and we were greeted by Rosalind, Robert, and the bridal party.  We couldn’t have done anything to properly prepare ourselves for what was about to follow in the next 48 hours.  Everything about our experience with these two was covered in genuine and loving personality.  They are some of the most authentic, funny and caring people that we have ever worked with.  Though it was the longest day of filming that we have ever experienced (19 hours), it seemed to fly by! From the intimate moments in Robert and Rosalind’s rooms as they prepared for the day, to the polka-dot bikinis and leg waxing, and then to the heartfelt and truthful ceremony, we can boldly say it was OUR pleasure to be a part of this day!

P.S. Robert and Rosalind, try not to shut down Facebook and Twitter re-posting this!

P.P.S. Parental Advisory, explicit lyrics!
