We are excited to announce our next Cine-Skool! Here is the D.L.:

What is it?

Cinema education for all (career or hobby); regardless of skill level, age, sex, religion or race.

3 JAM PACKED days of filming madness!

What is taught? (A better question might be… what isn’t taught, it’s probably a shorter list.)

Shooting:

  • Concept and story-boarding for all types of shoots
  • Shot composition-framing with a purpose
  • Basic DSLR camera/lens use and operation
  • Stabilization
    • Steadicam
    • Monopod
    • Slider
    • Tripod
  • Client communication
  • Proper use of all different types of lighting, or lack thereof
  • Helpful hints for successful interviews
  • Shoot preparation
  • Audio capture

Editing:

  • Workflow/footage conversion
  • File organization
  • Proper use of transitions, titles, and other post production effects
  • Music, how to choose it, and how to use it
  • Filtering/Color Correction
  • Building multiple shot sequences
  • Proper use of natural Audio

Business management:

  • Inquiry/clientele organization and communication
  • Branding assessment
  • Project organization
  • Networking
    • Using other vendors to build your business
    • Advertising, blogging, social networking sites, conferences and everything nice
    • Money and payment structure
    • Contract structure

How is it taught?

  1. Discussion format- Discussing all principles listed above
  2. In field training- Teaching with equipment in OUR hands
  3. Hands on- Teaching with equipment in YOUR hands
  4. Open question and answer sessions

What else should I know?

  • The Cine-Skool will be held in a professional shoot studio.
  • We will also show your tummies some love by providing lunch and snacks for both days.
  • The hours of the Cine-Skool are:
    • Day1, 10am-6pm
    • Day2, 8am-6pm
    • Day3, 10am-6pm (6pm-lights out… Part-tay!)
  • Please come prepared to have fun and learn a ton.
  • We are a complete open book… nothing will be held back!
  • We will teach what you can do in your specific situation to maximize your abilities with the resources available to you.
  • Seating is limited, once they are gone, they are gone! Don’t come beggin!
  • You get all of this and so much more For $1195.  50% retainer for seat reservation and remaining 50% due 2 weeks prior to the cine-skool.
  • If you are a two person team, we offer 2 seats for only $1495.
